About Happy Shell Studio

Happy Shell Studio is a joyful, coastal art studio on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Each piece begins with a real oyster, scallop, or clam shell gathered near St. Michaels and the Chesapeake Bay.

Every shell is hand-painted in bright, colorful designs inspired by the water, sailing, wildlife, and easy Eastern Shore living. The goal is simple: to make people smile and bring a little serotonin into their home.

Because each shell is a one-of-a-kind natural object, no two pieces are ever exactly alike — and each one is finished with care so its color stays cheerful for years.
